Tracy Zhu is the Acting Social Impact Partnership Manager at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), a city department of the City and County of San Francisco that delivers water, power and sewer services. SFPUC is proudly the first utility in the country to adopt an Environmental Justice Policy and Community Benefits Policy that directs the agency to be good neighbors to the communities it serves and impacts with special consideration for disproportionately burdened communities. In her role, she develops public-private-community partnerships by leveraging community benefits contributions from its private sector contractors. In addition, she supports the agency’s meaningful stakeholder engagement through its Citizen Advisory Committee and Southeast Community Facility Commission. Her past roles include those at the San Francisco Foundation, Ditching Dirty Diesel Collaborative and Literacy for Environmental Justice in Bayview Hunters Point, San Francisco, where she grew up.
