Register for the 2019 Conference!
Please choose the registration level that most applies to you.
You are an organization or individual who wants to spread Belonging to as many people as possible by supporting those who are not able to afford the full conference registration fee. This registration level will support yourself and three scholarship applicants to attend the Othering & Belonging Conference.
Pay It Forward, Businesses and Foundations: $1050
You work for a foundation or business that has a budget for conferences or are an individual with the means to cover the actual per person cost of the conference plus the subsidized rate for one other attendee.
You work for a larger non-profit, government, educational institution or NGO and your organization is paying for the cost of your registration, or you are an individual who can afford the full registration fee. By registering at this level, you are paying the actual per person cost to attend the Othering & Belonging conference. This is the standard registration option.
Individuals (and Group Rate): $350
This subsidized registration option is for UCB students, UC staff and faculty, employees from smaller nonprofit organizations, or individuals who cannot afford to cover the unsubsidized registration option. This subsidized amount is also the Group Rate you should use to register groups for the conference.
If you are a paying for multiple members of a group, you can do this via the registration site and the first person registered in the group will be charged. If members of the group are paying individually (for example, with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each.
The discounted group rate is the ‘Individual’ registration option. Groups should register under this option unless you are part of a UC cohort. If you are part of a UC cohort of 5 or more, please contact Puanani Forbes for the UC cohort rate.
Please apply here for scholarships. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. The first review will occur on November 30, 2018 and every end of the month thereafter until all scholarships are completely awarded. There is no fee to apply for a scholarship. However, if your application is accepted, there is a $25 processing fee that must be paid within 30 days of your receiving notice of your awarded scholarship, as a show of good faith. If you do not accept the scholarship by paying the fee within 30 days, the scholarship may be made available to the next applicant.
The online registration payment system is set up to accept major credit cards and checks/UC chartstring (by selecting Invoice). Credit card payments are strongly preferred. For those paying by credit card, we appreciate your willingness to also pay the 7% fee credit card fee. For those paying by Invoice, we are similarly passing on a $1.95 per person registrant fee we are charged by the registration site. This allows us to use more of the funds we have worked hard to raise for programming and scholarships instead.
If you are unable to pay by credit card, select the Invoice payment option and complete and print out your registration form and send along with a check made payable to the "UC Board of Regents" and write “Haas Institute O&B Conference" in the memo line. All checks need to be received by February 28, 2019 to activate your registration for the conference. Please mail your check to:
Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society
460 Stephens Hall, Berkeley, CA 94720-2330
Your registration will be confirmed upon receipt of your check. All checks need to be received by February 28, 2019 to activate your registration for the conference. Please contact Sean Reyes if you are unable to meet this deadline.
If you are paying by UC system chartstring, please contact Puanani Forbes. Cohorts of 5 or more will be eligible for a discounted rate.
Cancellations or substitutions will be processed upon receipt of your request by email to Sean Reyes.
Cancellations requested before March 1 are eligible for a refund less a $50 cancellation fee for each registration.
After March 1, cancellations will be refunded 50% of the registration fee.
Failure to appear at the conference will result in forfeiture of the full registration fee.
Requests to substitute registrations can be processed until March 29.
