Otheirng & Belonging is a dynamic and uniquely curated event that uses “othering and belonging” as a critical lens to define structural exclusion and inclusion, and as an analytical and applied framework from which we can work to advance narratives, movements, structures, ideas, and policies that support a more fully inclusive “we.”

Programming for our 2019 conference will provide key elements to respond to the question: How do we make belonging real? We will examine current global political and social phenomena such as rising authoritarianism, extreme inequality, climate disruption, migration, and technological changes, and how they are in close interaction and relationship with US political and economic realities and politics. This year the conference will feature an analysis of “breaking and bridging” as possible responses to our current moment of rapid global change. Find out more here!
