Mina Girgis, the producer & a co-founder of the Nile Project, is an ethnomusicologist and a serial entrepreneur specialized in building innovative spaces and tools for cross-cultural musical learning. Before co-founding the Nile Project, Mina founded Zambaleta in 2009, a community World Music school based in San Francisco, California. Mina is a senior fellow with UC Berkeley's Haas Institute for a Fair and Iinclusive society. He has also received awards and fellowships from Wired Magazine, National Arts Strategies, Synergos and Seeds of Peace. Mina earned his bachelor in Hospitality Administration from Florida State University and his masters in Ethnomusicology from the University of California Santa Barbara.
