Mariah’s love-based belief is that students should have the opportunity to know life by engaging in it through the arts. The artistic mind offers a lens on life that supports one’s ontological development; deepening and expanding one’s understanding of the social-emotional, political, physical, existential, economic, and ecological complexities that we all embody. Her work has been highlighted on The Electric Company (PBS), Harvard School of Education, The Teaching Channel, Education.com, and Happy Black Girl. Her efforts with Carnegie Hall, Stanford Live Programs, and Turn Around Arts are supporting educators to make profound transformations to find the artist within and lead for equity and social justice.
