Christine Wong Yap
Christine Wong Yap is a project-based artist who uses printmaking, drawing, sculpture, installation, and social practice to explore psychological well being. Her projects make space for participants and audiences to engage in self-reflection, interdependence, and social connection. Originally from the Bay Area, she has lived in Queens, NY since 2010.
She holds a BFA (1998) and MFA (2007) from the California College of the Arts. She has exhibited her work at the Queens Museum (Queens, NY), the Bronx Museum of Art (Bronx), Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art (San Francisco), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco), Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (Manchester UK), and more. She has participated in 12 artist-in-residence programs.
