How do we bring concepts and strategies for belonging into our communities in a way that creates an authentic process for learning and action? The co-facilitators of this session have created curricula for popular education on themes related to belonging. These curricula are flexible tools for making analysis and narratives accessible and for facilitating a generative process to put them into practice. Participants will experience a select set of activities from the curricula which will be presented here, discuss adapting the curricula for the participants’ context, and hear insights from the curriculum authors.
The session will focus on three curricula: “Teaching for Black Lives” by Dyan Watson, Jesse Hagopian, and Wayne Au, “Propigate, Pollinate, Practice” by Movement Generation, and “Blueprint for Belonging Curriculum” by the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society.
